Gomma Reviews is a selection of websites filtered by the Gomma Team that are considered interesting for its viewers. These websites are published with thumbnails on the left hand side.

Gomma Directory is a database of websites.
The aim is to assemble a very extensive database of urls related to photography, visual arts and design and divide these categories by sections/ styles/ country.
Added sections are: Portals, Online Magazines, Blogs and Vlogs.
You can now search the entire Gomma directory.
The portal is daily updated.

What is the site submissions criteria for Gomma Reviews?:
The idea behind Gomma Reviews is to publish websites that we personally like and consider interesting for our viewers.
There are no fixed rules.
We consider websites that publish outstanding work together with design quality.
We value the content of the site as much as the design.
Innovation, simplicity, professionalism and a user friendly interface are also important factors.
We DO NOT publish websites that:
Are Under construction, require payments to be viewed or contain illecit material.

How can I submit my website to Gomma Reviews?:
If you'd like to submit your website to us for consideration, please log on to www.gommamag.com/v3/gomma_site_submit.asp and use the appropriate form or click on Gomma Submit in the Main Menu.

What's the site submissions criteria for Gomma News:
We post news that we consider important and interesting for our viewers.

What's the site submissions criteria for Gomma Directory:
90% of the websites submitted are accepted in the Directory.
We DO NOT publish websites:
That are Under Construction, that contain illecit material, have unusable interfaces or with extremely ugly design.

Why has my website been removed from Gomma Directory or Gomma Reviews:
The main reason is copyright infringement.
If we found out that a website has copied without permission the contents of other websites, we will remove this website permanently from our database.

Why have you not included my site in Gomma Reviews or published my news:
Due to the high number of submissions we cannot guarantee the inclusion of all the websites or news we receive. We publish websites and news that we feel are interesting for our viewers.
If your site is not published please do not take it personally and do not insist with emails or frequent resubmissions.

Why don't you answer my emails?
It is practically impossible for us to reply to all the emails received.
It's very likely that your email has not been replied to if you are asking for something that is already answered in this FAQ section.

How long does it take to have my news or site reviewed?:
News normally takes 48 hours to be posted, however we might publish your news even after a few days. If you don't see your news posted within 7 days it means that it has not been chosen.
Gomma Reviews might take up to 30 days to be posted depending on the amount of submissions received. If you don't see your site published within 30 days it means your site has not been chosen.
Gomma Directory might take up to 5 weeks.
The database is updated daily.

Will you inform me if my website gets reviewed and/or included in the directory or if my news get posted?
No, unfortuantely we are unable to inform each individual website inclusion.

I have submitted work for Gomma Magazine or Gomma RED, What's happening with the selection, has my work been chosen?
If you have submitted work within the deadline you must have received a login password with a link to Gomma Admin . Log on to that page to find the current editing process of Gomma Magazine and GommaRED.
Please refer to Gomma Admin page for all information related to submissions and the procedure for all Gomma printed issues.

Please keep your email requests to a MINIMUM. We are working hard to deliver an outstanding Gomma Issue 3.

But who is Gomma?
We are a team of artists and media professionals driven by an unsurpassable passion for photography. We simply want to publish a photographic magazine that is entirely dedicated to the art of photography . A magazine that we would buy at the newsagent, one which doesn't bore us with technical information or endless advertising.
Besides the magazine we have decided to design a website that focuses on contents and is about photography, visual arts and design.

Why did you do a website that is about visual arts and design while the magazine is only photographic?
Initially we thought that photographers wouldn't only be interested in photography and this is why we included sections about designers, illustrators, arts events ecc.
Afterwards we found out that a big percentage of our viewers and buyers were actually visual artists and media professionals, and this is why we decided to make the portal about visual arts and design together with photography.

You write that Gomma is a sixmonthly publication when it is not really:
Gomma Magazine is edited and printed without a fixed deadline. Our aim is to publish the magazine twice every year. Sometimes there are unaccountable events that can postpone the whole process.

The first issue published only film-based photography.
Will this be the same for Issue 2?
No. Digital photography is very welcome.

What's the Media Kits section?
It's a section of Gomma Online from which you can download up-to-date Media Kits. It requires a username and a password and it publishes information directed to :
potential advertisers,

collaborators,

You can request these login details only if you are a potential advertiser,
